Timeless Teachings in a Changing World
St. Peter Claver Catholic School's academic program is rigorous in scope and deep in expectations. We look to our faculty, staff and parents to give 100% of their time and talent to ensure the success of every student.
St. Peter Claver Catholic School is a community modeling Jesus Christ and all are called to demonstrate discipline, responsibility, leadership, and the sharing of our God given gifts.
In our Pre-School, Kindergarten, and Lower school the goal is to teach students to learn within a community setting. In addition to learning academic skills the students are taught the skills of peace, reconciliation and tolerance.
In our Upper school students in grades 3, 4, and 5 learn to build confidence in their academic ability. It is during these years where the students shift their focus from "learning to read" to "reading to learn". They become increasingly more independent learners who take the foundational skills and apply them to the new skills they encounter in the Upper school.
In Middle School an emphasis is put on a personal commitment to learning. Our goal is the total educational development of young ladies and gentlemen in a strong tradition of service and excellence. A heavy emphasis is put on homework and developing good academic habits. We are committed to helping students reach their full potential spiritually, academically, and socially by requiring them to exhibit focus and determination.
