Parents send their children to St. Peter Claver Catholic School because they are convinced their children will receive a faith-based education in a kind and disciplined environment which fosters academic excellence and hearts for service in each of their students.

Christ is the reason for this school. He is the unseen but ever-presence in each classroom. He is the model of our faculty and the inspiration of our students.

Each morning our whole school gathers as a school community for morning prayer. We begin the day asking God for guidance throughout the day, as well as, offering to God all of our intentions and concerns of the day. Every student attends Mass once a week at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church with their unit. It is a time for students to work together to create something beautiful for God through the use of Scripture and song. Every class is given the opportunity to work together to plan a special liturgical celebration which helps to bring alive Christ in our midst.

As we follow the example of Jesus, who was always concerned with His neighbor, our students understand the importance of reaching out to others.  Several times during the school year, classes will engage in service activities that include: making sandwiches and collecting canned goods for our parish food pantry, collect soda/juice tabs for Ronald McDonald House, making cards for seniors, collecting toiletry items for the unhoused clients of Daybreak, diapers and baby wipes for Family Advancement Ministries (FAM) as well as, collecting paper products to be used for gatherings of the Hispanic community. Our students have such a wide capacity for compassion for their neighbor it is humbling to watch.
